Preview of Page 6

Work on the book I've been hired to draw is taking longer than I anticipated, so, although I have found a few spare moments to work on Paragon Ketch, I have yet to finish the next page.
I want you all to know that I am still working on it, I've just been distracted by paying work.
Below is a preview of page 6, which I will continue to work on and update when it is complete:

In other news the Anthology I got to work on Womanthology is available for preorder now Womanthology available for PreOrder there is also a Sketchbook Available

I am still in the tournament on Deviant art as well, if you'd like to see Kaylee and Hal (from Paragon Ketch) have an adventure in a Fighting Tournament

Keep an eye on here, with luck I'll get pg 6 done and the ball rolling again on Paragon Ketch! Thanks for reading!

Sorry for the delay!

Update:  I had a little hitch in page production as I recently got a job drawing 3 issues of a comic. I am still working on getting a schedule going so I'll have new Paragon Ketch pages soon. Sorry for the delay!

Paragon Ketch Chapter 1 Page 1

Page 1 of Chapter 1! Which I posted on Deviant Art earlier today. I'm not a huge fan of narration in comics or anywhere, BUT I could think of no other way to begin Paragon Ketch that actually worked. Hal doesn't talk to a lot of people at first, perhaps he's musing to himself.

Paragon Ketch Chapter 1 Cover

The cover for Chapter 1 of Paragon Ketch, which I will be posting here and on DeviantArt

I will post page 1 here and on DA in a week or two, this month is very busy. Then The schedule may be "as i get the pages done", which I'm hoping motivates me to get them done more quickly. Too long has it been "I'll do them in my spare time, the comic's not up yet so it's okay if I put this to the side". I am discovering that I NEED that pressure to work though. I do my best work when I'm crazy busy and trying to meet multiple deadlines.

Let's rock!

I thought about posting it on Drunk Duck, but after they were bought by Wowio that whole site has gotten confusing and I couldn't figure out how to customize the comic's site so it wouldn't be white/yellow.

Project update!

I had intended to begin posting Paragon Ketch at the end of July, I still hope to, but it seems a certain project for charity I volunteered on has really taken off! :D

Production on Womanthology is revving up now that we know the book is financed. I'm working on a 4 page comic with writer Jennifer V.  So My spare time will be devoted to it. It will be fully colored (by me) which seems to be what takes me the longest with Paragon Ketch, so I'm hoping to get the pages drawn and inked relatively quickly to allow me time to color.

Perhaps I'll even figure out some ways for me to color more quickly and up production time on Paragon Ketch! :D

Rest Assured, I am still working on PK whenever I get a chance. I have 12 pages currently penciled and 6 pages inked. I plan to begin posting pages online whenever I hit 5 pages colored plus a cover.

In other news, Rod Espinosa, author of "The Courageous Princess" and "Neotopia" is raising money to reprint Neotopia in one book. The series has been out of print for awhile (which has made completing the collection of books hard for me D: ) and the last time it was in print, it was in tiny pocket Manga form, which didn't do the art justice in my opinion.

More information on Rod's Kickstarter can be found here:

Thanks for tuning in!

Inks for pgs 1-5 are done!

I just finished inking page 5 of Paragon Ketch this morning! I'm currently flatting the first 5 pages and working on a  cover idea. With luck you guy(s) will get to see the pages soon! I've also started penciling on pages 6 and 7, which are less complicated than some of the stuff in the first 5 pages, and should go faster. :P

I shall keep you up to date on PK news!

Paragon Ketch update

So this week I finished inking the "Panel from Hell" and am close to finishing the inks on pg 4 and 5. Which means the next step is coloring and lettering the 5 pgs! I've also started penciling pgs 6 and 7. Eventually there will be a comic posted here, or somewhere. :D Just putting it together little by little, as my Uncle says.

How's it going?

That bad huh?

I've been super busy, just not with Paragon Ketch in large. D: I've been slowly working on it, redrawing some panels on the computer has seriously slowed me down. It hasn't helped that I've redrawn the panel to be at least 4 times as complex as it was initially, but I will eventually get it done, and then eventually get the pages colored.

In the mean time I've been trying to get stuff done that I've been putting off, and other stuff done as practice to hone my skills for when I get back to working on PK. I find I'm learning how to squeeze out ever bit of free time I can. With some practice, soon I can squeeze that free time into time spent on PK and you all will finally get to see it. I plan to do 5 page chunks, this might change however to 2 page chunks, which seem more manageable, at least in theory.

Also working on some prose writing that's not PK related, will post news of that and if it goes anywhere.

Maybe I should post some Works in Progress of the PK pages? Would anyone be interested in seeing that?
